Now, these liquid coolers are among their flagship offerings, with a diverse lineup of models available.
In this review, we’re diving into the latest model from Corsair’s AIO lineup: the iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX. This new cooler is quite similar to the iCUE LINK H150i RGB, but it features some subtle yet meaningful enhancements, such as a more robust pump. The TITAN 360 RX excels in maintaining Corsair’s reputation for innovation and superior quality, fitting seamlessly into the iCUE ecosystem for a user-friendly experience. Upon unpacking the iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX, we were greeted by a hefty cardboard box that mirrors the cooler’s impressive size. Corsair’s signature black and yellow colors adorn the packaging, making it instantly recognizable. On the box, a striking image of the cooler hints at its design appeal. Inside, the cooler and its various components are securely nestled in custom cardboard inserts, ensuring they’re well-protected during shipping.
Corsair, as always, provides everything you need in the package, including all the necessary mounting hardware for either AMD or Intel processors, neatly packed in separate pouches. The package also includes the essential iCUE Link Hub, a critical piece in the iCUE ecosystem puzzle required for the cooler to function properly.
A closer examination of the cables shows that the iCUE Link Hub is powered by a 6-pin PCI Express connector. This thoughtful choice by Corsair alleviates the need for a Molex cable, which is commonly a hassle. Given that users likely have robust power supply units with spare PCI Express connectors—especially with the widespread use of modern graphics cards’ connectors—this makes perfect sense. However, if users are maxed out on PCI Express connectors due to graphics cards, they might need to upgrade their PSU or use an adapter. A bundled adapter might have been a nice addition for these scenarios.
The Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB AIO Liquid Cooler
At first glance, the Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB AIO cooler may blend in with the plethora of 360 mm AIO coolers available. But a closer look reveals its distinctive feature: its completely cable-free design makes for an impressively clean setup. Following the typical AIO design, this cooler includes a radiator, two hoses, and a cooling block with a copper CPU contact plate and a built-in mini pump. The iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB uses flexible, black sleeved, low-permeation rubber tubing that stands out for its flexibility compared to other solutions.
The TITAN 360 RX RGB boasts a substantial radiator at 396 mm in length, necessitating a PC case that can accommodate three 120 mm fans in a row, as well as the extra bulk of the radiator itself. At a thickness of 27 mm, the radiator requires a total clearance of 55 mm when fans are mounted. Its dual pass cross-flow design and finely soldered fins on thin tubes are common AIO features. Thanks to its moderate thickness, the design is optimized for top-notch performance, even with lower airflow pressure.
Corsair has pre-installed three RX120 RGB fans on the radiator, and remarkably, not a single wire is visible. These fans link together uniquely at the sides of their frames and can operate with just one cable for power and RGB/speed control, thanks to their magnetic levitation motors. This not only makes them quiet and reliable, but also efficient, operating between 300 to 2100 RPM. The previous iCUE LINK H150i RGB model featured slightly faster QX120 fans that reached 2400 RPM. Moreover, the fan frames house LEDs with diffusers on all sides, creating striking lighting effects. Additionally, the fan supports a small sensor, and users can remove decorative plates from the fan sides for further customization if desired.
The primary block assembly of the iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB initially appears straightforward, but its squircle shape hides a sophisticated design brimming with features. Its opaque top holds multiple LEDs capable of delivering immersive lighting effects. This top plate is not just easy to rotate for proper orientation but also detachable, offering users creative flexibility, particularly if they have 3D printers or CNC machines for more personalized aesthetics. Overall, the block design is sleek, with no visible external connectors or wires in sight.
The iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB is fitted with a squircle copper contact plate at the base, secured with eight screws. Though not polished to a mirror finish, it’s crafted to ensure optimal heat transfer. Corsair has also pre-applied their XTM70 thermal paste to enhance the cooler’s efficiency with improved thermal conductivity. However, this pre-applied paste limits installation to just one go—necessitating additional thermal compound purchases if the cooler needs to be removed and reinstalled.
Once set up and turned on, the iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB cooler becomes a visual spectacle. Its LEDs are driven by the iCUE LINK interface, allowing for a wide array of customizable lighting effects through Corsair’s iCUE software. This offers a tremendous range of programming possibilities, from mere aesthetics to practical, functional lighting solutions based on temperature or alerts. What’s more, the iCUE LINK module, along with the iCUE software, ensures full integration across all compatible Corsair products.
