We’re Probably Getting a Revolutionary Video Game

Oh boy, where do I even begin? So, I stumbled upon this thing about Dropout—yeah, the thing that used to be College Humor. They’ve got this show, “Game Changer,” right? It’s like, this wild ride of comedians playing all sorts of quirky games. And let’s just say, people on the internet kinda went nuts over it. Naturally, I’m thinking, “Could this turn into a video game someday?” and, well, seems like it’s a real possibility!

I got the chance to chat with Sam Reich, the big guy over at Dropout. This wasn’t just a quick, “Hey, hello” deal. We dove deep into the madness of “Game Changer”—how they whip up these crazy games, test them out, make sure they’re not a total mess, you know? Anyway, at some point, I had to throw it out there—ever thought about making a vid game from this chaos?

Sam was like, “Yeah, totally.” And then he went off about maybe doing something with “Dimension 20” as well—this super popular D&D series they’ve got.

Here’s the kicker though: He doesn’t just want to slap their label on some random stuff another company makes. Nope, it’s gotta feel like them. Authentic, personal, blah blah. And it seems like they’re knee-deep in figuring this all out right now, just swamped with other stuff, I guess.

Some more juice? Apparently, games are expensive—a shocker, right? And they take ages to make. But Reich was kinda pumped. They’ve got ideas sizzling for a Dropout game and are inching towards bringing it alive. Even started with these little web games on “Game Changer” to dip their toes in the gaming ocean, see what’s what.

Honestly, Reich sounded fairly certain we’ll see a “Game Changer” game at some point. When, though? That’s the million-dollar question.
