Life sim inZOI is about to drop its first DLC. It’s called Island Getaway. And guess what? They’re giving it away for free. Yup, no strings attached. Krafton, the developers, are really opening up about it now, making it less of a mystery. Wonder why they couldn’t hold the suspense a bit longer, you know?
So, big news if you’re on a Mac! Because alongside this DLC, the game finally hits Mac devices. Feels like we’ve been waiting forever, or maybe that’s just me being dramatic.
Island Getaway launches August 20. Yeah, right after Gamescom’s big reveal on the 19th. I mean, I kinda thought they’d drop it like a surprise, right after, but Krafton’s already spilled some beans. No idea why, maybe they just got too excited.
The new DLC brings us Cahaya, a fresh map with a vibe that’s pure Southeast Asia. Think beaches and palm trees. You can swim, snorkel, all the usual water stuff, plus a bit of farming—because why not? Dressing up your character will be a thing too, with tropical outfits and new hairstyles. I love it when there’s a bit of customization, don’t you?
And hey, they’re throwing in an update that revamps parts of the main game. Like, finally, we can farm, fish, and mine anywhere. Plus, we get to zip around on electric scooters and motorcycles. I mean, I’ve always wanted to ride a virtual scooter.
They’ve tweaked character interactions too, adding things like random meet-ups and thought bubbles. There’s this new “cooperative actions” mechanic, which sounds like it could lead to some unexpected fun. Or chaos. Probably both.
Quality of life updates are coming too. New UI stuff, 90 tracks of music, and—drumroll—early gamepad support. Still testing, but hey, it’s happening.
Oh, and with the August 20 update, inZOI hits Mac. Steam and the App Store will have it. So, Mac users, your time has come. Finally.
How was that? Maybe scattered, probably messy, but there’s the scoop!
