Okay, so let me get this straight. We’re here again. Another announcement from inZOI developers just before gamescom 2025 kicks off. You know, like, maybe I should be surprised, but every time I turn around, they’re dropping news like it’s the latest gossip down at the pub. Just a few days back, they were going on about the first-ever DLC pack for the game, right? And now, boom — it’s heading to PlayStation 5.
Is it weird that they keep hyping this up for gamescom when they’ve already spilled the beans? Like, unless they’ve got some kind of secret they’re clutching tight, I don’t get the point. But, hey, they confirmed it. PS5 it is. Guess that’s something.
No release date yet, though. Ugh. They’re saying it’s “optimized for console,” whatever that means. But apparently, we’ll see it in the first half of 2026. I bet figuring out the controls was a headache. Controllers are tricky compared to PC, you know? Oh, and they’re focused on game performance too, so fingers crossed they get it right.
Check this out, there’s an image floating around. Supposedly our first peek at the game on PS5. Looks pretty sharp — or as much as a tiny image on a screen can be, anyway. Can’t wait to see it in motion.
By the way, inZOI’s still hanging out in Steam Early Access land. So that’s interesting. Didn’t mention if the PS5 version will be early access too. I mean, early access on PS5? That’s not something you see every day. But hey, maybe the PC 1.0 version will sync up with the PS5 launch. Who knows? Not me.
Oh, and if you missed it, Krafton’s bringing the thing to Mac OS soon too — August 20, right alongside, lemme see, the Island Getaway DLC. If you’re itching for more inZOI trivia or maybe some cheats, there’s a link floating around somewhere with all that jazz.
There’s just so much to keep up with, right? It’s like a never-ending cycle of updates and announcements. Just when you think you’re caught up, pow, here comes another curveball. Typical game dev stuff, I guess.
