So, here’s the deal. There’s this game, “Into the Radius 2” — a follow-up to another game I’ve barely heard of but apparently people loved it. It’s been hanging around on PC VR since July 2024, and — surprise, surprise — now it’s heading to Quest. Like, finally, right?
Anyway, they’ve pinned the date down to May 21st for this early access thing on Quest 3 and Quest 3S. Full release, though? Who knows. Next year? Maybe. I mean, time’ll tell. This new version lets you wander around spooky wastelands — or exclusion zones, as the fancy folks call it — taking on ‘Pechorsk’ anomalies. Yeah, doesn’t sound like a typical weekend, but hey, to each their own.
What’s different this time, you ask? Well, you can now drag a buddy along, or three when it fully releases. Honestly, I’m conflicted about that. More chaos, but also maybe more fun? We’ll see.
Here’s the kicker, though: PC VR and Quest 3 players won’t be playing together anytime soon. Crossplay is a no-go, apparently. I know, right? But let’s face it, the urge to jump onto VR’s big platform is huge. Already snagged almost $3 million on PC. Like, the first week was a gold rush. Crazy, huh?
No listing on the Horizon Store yet, and I’m not even sure why that store isn’t up faster. But hey, if you’re itching to dive in and need to prep those virtual guns and gear, there’s a bunch of guides or something — wherever those are.
And that’s it — probably. Or maybe not. Depends on what comes up next, I guess.
