Massive Zombie Hordes Invade Quest & PC VR in August with ‘World War Z VR’

Alright, so imagine this. Saber Interactive, those guys who made the World War Z game back in 2019, are… wait for it… turning it into a VR experience. I mean, seriously, picture a swarm of zombies rushing at you, but now they’re practically in your face because it’s coming to Quest and SteamVR headsets on August 12th. Yeah, August. Mark your calendars—or don’t, I mean who remembers these things without a sticky note, right?

So, what’s the deal with this new World War Z VR thing? From what I gather, it’s not just a cut-and-paste job. No way. Built from scratch, they say. Reimagined, intense action—real goosebumps stuff. I think it’s cool they’re doing something new… or, you know, at least saying they are.

And get this, unlike the OG game where you had that wide-angle view and could mess around with your pals, this one’s a solo gig. First-person, just you and your sweaty palms. They’ve got campaigns set in New York, Tokyo, and Marseille. Imagine the Eiffel Tower. With zombies.

Now, the wild part? The game’s throwing 200 zombies at you at once. I can’t even handle two cats causing chaos in my apartment, so this should be fun. There’s a ton of characters, weapons, the whole shebang. And yes, they’ve got difficulty levels for when you’re ready to scream and throw the VR set across the room.
