Sure, let’s try something different here.

Okay, so here’s the deal. Steam Next Fest is up, and it’s packed. I mean, it’s like a wild mix of everything, over 30 PC VR games! I don’t even know how I ended up here, but let’s just roll with it. Picture Ghost Town. Yup, that’s a game. Kind of haunted, maybe? Then you’ve got Of Lies and Rain — sounds like a noir film, but in game form? Who knows. Oh, right, also Don’t Move. Which seems like advice I could totally use sometimes.
There’s this whole list of demos. I keep forgetting which I’ve tried and which I haven’t. See, before this whole shebang kicked off, a bunch of names popped up: like Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate. Somehow that title makes me think of ancient scrolls and relics. RAGER sounds like something my headphones and I would get lost in, and Virtual Skate — well, my knee still hurts from the last time I tried skating for real. Anyway, it’s safer on a screen, right? Then there’s Ultima Chess, which probably isn’t for people like me who never mastered regular chess, and don’t get me started on Retronika — there’s something retro and futuristic smashing together there.
Oh, and here’s the tricky part: all this info came from Valve a month ago. Seriously, things shift and change like crazy. So, who knows if some games bailed out or if a few dark horses jumped in last minute. It’s like a surprise party you didn’t RSVP to. I should refresh this list at some point, or not. My procrastination game is strong.
Anyway — yeah, sorry — Steam Next Fest is buzzing till June 16, 2025. Early morning, mind you, at 10 am PT. I’d say set an alarm, but maybe just see if your inner clock remembers.
Happy gaming, or whatever it is we’re doing here!
