The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) is rolling back into Vegas, August 1-3. Imagine players from over 60 countries—yep, 60—descending on the Las Vegas Convention Center. It’s gonna be one wild weekend of gaming face-offs. Folks are like super pumped, all hoping to snag that top champ spot.

This year, Evo is totally upscaled—more games, more commentary by old-school pros, and sneak peeks of upcoming games and gadgets. Not sure why, but every time, it feels even bigger.

New Games and Floor Madness

Try MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls at Evo 2025

Marvel fans out there? Check out MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. It’s a hands-on demo thing at the Arc System Works booth. You’ll be using everything from the DualSense controller to some fancy arcade sticks. This 4v4 tag team thing has a 2026 release, and everyone seems hyped.

Oh, and there’s a panel featuring the game’s devs on August 1 at 8 PM PT. They’ll stream it too, so you can catch it online if the room gets packed. Panels always feel like a behind-the-scenes sneak peek, don’t they? Geek mode: On.

Scope Out the New FlexStrike Stick

Announced just a couple of months back, Sony’s got this new wireless fight stick called FlexStrike. Uses some neat PlayStation Link tech for low-latency play—whatever that means, right? It’ll be on display at the Fight Stick Museum. The display model? Not the final look. Kinda weird seeing prototypes, but also oddly fascinating.
