THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025 Scheduled for August 1

Oh man, so THQ Nordic is at it again, huh? They’re throwing their Digital Showcase for 2025 — mark it, August 1st. I guess we’re all supposed to be glued to our screens come that Friday. I mean, are Fridays even for work anymore? Maybe it’s an intentional distraction. Or maybe I’m just making excuses to slack off. Who knows.

So, they’re starting at noon if you’re chilling on the West Coast (PDT), a bit later for folks on the East (EDT), and then there’s everyone in Europe too. It’ll be 8pm for those in the BST zone. I wonder if they timed it like that on purpose. Who plans these things anyway? Maybe they just drew time zones from a hat. Sounds like something I’d do.

Their teaser is kinda… I don’t know, dramatic? “Saddle your horses, rev your engines…” I mean, is that supposed to hype me up or make me think I’m about to watch a Western car chase? Anyway, they’re hinting at some big reveals. New stuff, updates on games we already know, and of course, the “surprises.” Classic move, right? Pretend you didn’t leak something, then act all surprised when we guess it.

Anyway—wait, where was I? Oh yeah, games! They mentioned a bunch of them. Like Gothic 1 Remake — throwback alert! — and Titan Quest II, among others. And don’t we just love a good mystery? They say they’ve kept “a few aces” hidden. I’m imagining some THQ exec in a smoky back room, flipping cards mysteriously. Or maybe it’s just me watching too many movies.

Anyway, there’s apparently some trailer I didn’t check out. Okay, time’s up for my rambling. If video games are your jam, mark that date. Or don’t. I might just end up rewatching old sitcoms instead. Life’s unpredictable like that, right?
