Sure thing, here goes:
So, Warner Bros, right? They’ve gone and shuffled their game division into, like, specific chunks for their big-name IPs. I mean, it’s cool, I guess? Variety was yakking about it, saying they’ve split up the company to focus on their DC, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Mortal Kombat stuff. Yeah, those.
And here’s the thing—Yves Lachance, the head honcho over at Warner Bros Games Montréal, just got a bit of a promotion. Now he’s the big cheese, the SVP of development, handling all the wizard and dragon business. The Harry Potter and Game of Thrones games, in case that wasn’t clear. (I kinda wonder if he’s more into magic spells or sword fights, but hey, who am I to say?)
Then there’s this guy, Shaun Himmerick, head of NetherRealm, steering the ship for Mortal Kombat and DC. Punching and superheroes, if you prefer. Meanwhile, Steven Flenory, the New York guy, is leveling up to SVP of central tech and services. Bet he’s got a lot on his plate.
J.B. Perrette, the big boss of Warner Bros Discovery, had a bit to say too. Something about having some of the biggest franchises in the world. (Is this bragging? No clue.) Anyway, he’s all about optimizing the team for long-term plans—yeah, jargony stuff—to keep those Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat, and DC fans super happy.
Oh, and he mentioned liking his squad’s talent—Yves, Shaun, and Steven—singing their praises, saying they’re top-notch. So, good vibes all around, I guess. Said he’d be working closely with them to whip up some killer games for those major franchises. Here’s hoping something exciting drops soon!
