Alright, so get this. After what feels like forever—I mean, time just slips away sometimes—Blizzard’s finally got a date for the next Diablo 4 livestream. Thank goodness. It’s all about Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim. Strange name, right? Anyway, it’s kicking off in about a week. Perfect time for one last sneak peek, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Not that this is our very first glimpse—no surprises there—since the Season 9 PTR went down toward the end of May. But still, there’s totally a reason to tune in. Maybe even a couple, if you’re feeling optimistic.
Oh, by the way, the livestream’s penciled in for this Friday, June 27. Used to a Thursday gig for these things? Yeah, me too. Guess Blizzard’s full of surprises. It kicks off at 11am PT, 2pm ET, 7pm BST. Same ol’ channels: YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, TikTok. Kind of makes my head spin, but hey, more options.
What’s on the agenda, you ask? Glad you brought it up. They’re gonna dive into a fresh look at the seasonal questline, the new battle pass, Horadric Spellcraft (don’t ask, I have no idea), Escalating Nightmares—the name gives me the creeps—and probably more. Good chance to see what’s changed, thanks to feedback. Or at least that’s the hope.
There’s this picture too—not the point, but it’s from Blizzard Entertainment and all that. It’s like they knew we needed a visual break.
Let’s not forget that juicy preview of higher-level balance tweaks arriving with Season 9. Characters and general gameplay both getting a shake-up. The Diablo 4 dev squad’s gonna walk us through it. And there’s a Q&A bit at the end, which could be cool. Or not. Depends on the questions, I guess.
Oh, and they’re bringing back the Sanctuary Sitdown chat. To me, it sounds like a mellow hangout, but details matter, right? Anyway, Nacho and Aislyn Hall will be there discussing the new season and taking questions from Discord folks.
Here’s the kicker for this round: watch Diablo 4 on Twitch while the Developer Update is happening, and you snag a free skin. Thirty minutes, that’s all. Didn’t even have to watch the actual livestream. Just chill with it on in the background or something. Then, bam, Lacuni’s Pupil two-handed Sorcerer Staff is yours.
Random, but might as well.
