Man, it’s wild what’s cooking in the tech realm, especially over at Apple. So I stumbled across this juicy tidbit by this guy, Ming-Chi Kuo, who’s like the guru of all things Apple leaks. Not even joking, the dude knows his stuff and doesn’t hold back. Anyway, he’s spilling the beans on Apple’s latest XR and smart glasses roadmap or something, and lemme tell you, it’s a doozy.
First off, Apple’s apparently rolling out a spec-bumped Vision Pro – yep, more gadgets to drool over. This one might hit the shelves later this year. But get this, way down the line (like, hello 2028!), they’re talking AR glasses. Who even thinks that far ahead anymore?
So Kuo’s been doing his thing, uncovering supply chain secrets and blah, blah. He says we’ll see a Vision Pro sportin’ a new M5 chip. Wow! But, not till 2025, they say. Only 150,000–200,000 of these babies will ship, which makes ’em sound kind of VIP, doesn’t it? Still rocking the same old specs except for the chip upgrade though – guess Apple’s into keeping it chill for now. They’re apparently just biding their time, trying to thin out their gadget stash, maybe perfect a few XR apps along the way. I dunno.
Oh, and there’s this Vision Air thing – sounds fancy, huh? Expect it in 2027. Supposedly, it’s gonna be feather-light. Well, not actual feathers, but loads lighter than its predecessor. Plastic lenses, magnesium alloys, and that jazz.
Then comes Vision Pro 2 – like, the sequel everyone’s waiting for in 2028. Seems like Apple’s finally wanting to go mainstream with it. Meanwhile, smart glasses are getting a major push. Imagine shades like Ray-Bans but tech-savvy – no screens, all audio, snapping pics, and an AI sidekick. Cool, right?
Kuo’s going on about Apple working on XR Glasses too – real buzzkill alert, won’t see them till 2028. They’re supposed to have a color display. Huh.
Anyway, Apple keeps things more secretive than a magic show. Kuo’s insights are usually gold but let’s keep a healthy skepticism, okay? Who knows how this will all pan out – only time will tell. But that’s part of the fun, isn’t it?
