Okay, so I stumbled across this game called Cozy Stitch Puzzle by RedDeerGames, and boy, it’s a wild ride—I mean, not like a roller coaster kinda wild, more like the comforting chaos of sorting socks while drinking chamomile tea. Weird example? Probably. Anyway, here’s what I think.
So, the game throws at you these 126 puzzles—broken down, not that’s the right phrase, more like divided into categories that sound like the cast of an animated movie. We’re talking Home Huggers, Barnyard Buddies, Mystic Mates, Forest Furries… I’m getting sidetracked. Lots of creatures and things. Each group spits out 14 puzzles. Fun, right?
You get to pick your poison with three difficulty modes: Cozy, Medium, and Hard. The Cozy level? Just a casual stroll with 3-5 bits to mess around with. Medium steps up the challenge with 10-25 pieces. Then, Hard mode says, “Surprise!” and slaps down 20-26 parts that are different every game. Yay for replayability, because who doesn’t love doing the same thing over and over with a twist? Oh wait, I do.
I played this thing on my Nintendo Switch, and yes, you can use the Joy-Con or just poke around if you’re in Portable or Tabletop Mode. It’s pretty tactile. Rotate pieces with a flick — or is it a push? — of the ZL and ZR buttons. I think I got that right.
Cost? Well, it’s a bargain at $6.99. Considering how much we spend on coffee, it feels like a steal. Assuming you like coffee, of course. Or puzzles. Or stealing things, but don’t do that.
You know, this game’s just one of those low-key, unwind-after-a-long-day kinda deals. Don’t expect fireworks. Expect more like… fireflies. Oh, and just so you know, I got a copy of the game from RedDeerGames. Not that it changes my thoughts. But full disclosure.
Seriously, if you’re into relaxing puzzle games, might as well check it out. Or don’t. I’m not your boss.
