Sure thing, here it goes:
So, there’s this thing now with Decemberborn Interactive, and if you’re into gaming, this might be your jam. They just announced Cathedral: Crow’s Curse is happening for Nintendo Switch. Yep, a full-on prequel to Cathedral. Remember Crow? That Shade Sentinel dude from the original? Well, it’s all about him this time. Seems the Shade Forest is going haywire, so he’s gotta dive into these spooky woods and dusty old ruins… to figure out, well, stuff about the Sentinel order and some creepy dark forces.
Combat’s supposed to be wild — like, really intuitive. Gotta keep an eye on enemy moves so you don’t get whacked. But then, stealth’s a biggie too. You could, I dunno, sneak past rivals or just pounce on them outta nowhere with some slick backstab action.
Eric Lavesson, the mastermind over at Decemberborn, was all excited saying, “We wanna make games that hit home with players.” Hmm, something he’s super into. Apparently, there’s a lot of heart and soul crafted into the game. You’ll feel it… or so they hope.
They’ve dropped a list of what’s cool about the game. Here’s the spiel:
-
Skill-Based Combat: Get ready to face some tough cookies. It’s all about timing! Dodge, block, and strike when it counts.
-
Hand-Crafted World: The world’s gonna be this crazy, seamless place — more connected than ever.
-
Stealth Tactics: Sneak around like a ninja, or jump out of nowhere like “Boo!”. Enemies get freaked out by sound, sight, and touch. Go figure.
- Upgrades and Abilities: Tons of cool stuff to find and skills to unlock. Maybe even learn to fly? Okay, maybe not.
No date announced yet for when it’s dropping. Just know it’ll be on the Nintendo eShop, so keep those eyes peeled!
Oh, and by the by, there’s a trailer out there, probably on YouTube. But who has time for trailers these days? Just dive in and play already.
