Oh man, so Nintendo decided to throw us a curveball with some big news about the Nintendo 64 games on the Switch, right? They just, out of nowhere, announced we’re getting these new features — like, you can now rewind your gameplay. Pretty neat if you’re as clumsy as I am with those old-school games. Anyway, they’re giving us customizable controls too. Did I mention the CRT filter? Yeah, it’s like being back in the ’90s. I can almost smell the pizza from those marathon gaming nights. Or maybe that’s just me daydreaming.
The funny thing is, everyone was convinced — really, like totally sure — that these features would roll out only on some Nintendo Switch 2 gizmo. But nah, they’re bringing it to the regular old Switch too. Why did everyone think it needed a whole new console? Maybe it was all just fan gossip. So yeah, surprisingly, no need to buy another whole chunk of plastic. Bonus!
I was caught off guard, no joke. And who wouldn’t be? Sometimes gaming news is like trying to chase a squirrel. Just when you think you know where it’s heading, it darts off. And speaking of squirrels… no, never mind. Completely lost my train of thought. So, long story short, it’s a good moment to be a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber. Will this be a game-changer (pun slightly intended)? Only time—and maybe a few late-night gaming sessions—will tell.
