Sony’s throwing a party again—like, right now in June. Yep, another State of Play, popping up tomorrow, out of the blue, like they do. I mean, that’s pretty much Sony’s thing these days. They announce these livestreams with barely any heads-up. Maybe they enjoy keeping us on our toes? No clue.
And yep, this time, not much of a focus on those first-party games. Wonder why? Maybe it’s strategic. Or maybe a random fluke. Hardly matters ‘cause they’re tightlipped about it. They’re hosting it tomorrow, June 4 at this awkward time—2pm PT, 5pm ET, and if you’re across the pond, 10pm UK. Weird how they just drop “news and updates” on PS5 games like it’s some insider gossip.
Their blog kinda teases us—mentioning “great games from creators across the globe.” Sounds grand, right? But what does it even mean? Global means everywhere, which technically could still be anywhere? And this show’s over 40 minutes, so pack some snacks—might get beefy, and you wouldn’t wanna pause for a fridge-run.
Catch it live on PlayStation’s Twitch and YouTube. Where else, right? Meanwhile, June’s a wild ride with these events popping up like daisies. Got the Summer Game Fest’s opener this Friday, June 6—mark your calendars. And IO Interactive’s dropping some Showcase hours later. Just when you think it’s over, Xbox pops in with their own thing on June 8, plus a sprinkle of The Outer Worlds 2 jam. Busy busy!
And EA and Ubisoft? Who knows what they’re up to. Maybe chillin’ on the sidelines or maybe they’ll crash someone else’s party with surprise trailers. Wouldn’t that be something?
