Okay, so here’s the thing. When Sony dropped the news about this week’s State of Play, it was like, huh? Not much to chew on. PlayStation’s lineup is kinda slim pickings this year, and some folks thought we’d finally get a peek at their big 2025 game, Ghost of Yotei. I’ve been waiting like a kid at a candy store with no candy in sight.
I mean, come on, it’s dropping this October, and what have we got? Nada. Zilch. I just remember thinking, “Where’s the gameplay hype here?”
Anyway—I mean, wait—oh, right. So, they did actually feature Ghost of Yotei during the showcase. Blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of thing. Sucker Punch threw out this teaser that honestly felt like giving a thirsty person a drop of water. You get me?
But wait, we’re in for more! The teaser was really just them saying “Hey, more Yotei goodness is coming!” Yep, they’re planning a special State of Play just for this sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. The catch? We gotta hang tight till July. Yeah, July. Fingers crossed they don’t make us wait until like, the last day of the month.
The July gig is supposedly a buffet of gameplay mechanics, exploration, combat—you name it. I’m hoping they drop it early July. Like, come on, Sony.
Oh, and mark your calendars: Ghost of Yotei hits PS5 on October 2. And for you PC folks, probably another couple years before you get your hands on it. Patience is a virtue or something, right?
