Ok, so imagine this: ASUS just dropped these wild, all-white RTX 5070 graphics cards, and I’m kind of here for it. Why white? Who knows. Maybe they figured gamers got bored of black. Anyway, they’ve got two shiny new models: the TUF RTX 5070 Ti and the PRIME RTX 5070. Both are gleaming like freshly fallen snow — not that I’ve ever seen snow in person. I hear it’s cold.
Here’s the thing. ASUS has had a gazillion RTX 50 models already, but somehow, no white ones. Seems they finally caught on. Maybe folks were just yearning for their rigs to match their IKEA desks or something. Whatever the reason, it’s happening now.
First up, the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. It’s got 16 GB GDDR7 — which sounds fancy. Triple-fan cooling going on, so it’s like a mini fridge, but for your GPU. And it’s wrapped in this sleek icy shell, looking like it belongs more in an art museum than my janky setup. If you care about these things, it’s got that LED bling with all the TUF branding bits to make you feel like you’re piloting a spaceship, obviously.
This card is no joke, either. It’s bulky — like, won’t fit in mom’s old PC cabinet bulky. 3.125 slots, to be exact, and something about military-grade parts. I imagine that means it can survive a toddler, but maybe not a coffee spill. And ports, lots of ports — three DisplayPorts and two HDMI, because why not?
According to the rumors (or, like, actual facts from ASUS), this beast is overclocked to a ridiculous 2610 MHz. That’s more than the Founders Edition, which I assume is better — not that I keep up with techie stuff religiously.
Then there’s the little sibling, the PRIME GeForce RTX 5070. The less aggressive one, you could say? It’s also white with triple-fan cooling but feels more mellow — the Zen monk of GPUs. It doesn’t overreach much in clock speeds, but whispers of speeds like 2587 MHz in OC mode make it feel just fast enough without making a fuss.
The lengths. I almost forgot. The PRIME is 304 mm, basically a stretched version of… whatever else was there before. Needs less power too, so maybe your parent’s PSU might just cut it. Who knew?
Anyway, ASUS is aiming these at different folks — TUF for the bold, PRIME for the chill. Or something. Whatever your style, now you can match your GPU to your pristine white sneakers. Just don’t sneeze on it.
Got all this from ASUS and some reliable leaker shenanigans (@momomo_us, looking at you).
