Okay, so here we go. Honkai: Star Rail—interesting name, right? Anyway, it’s got this whole cast of characters, each bringing their own flair to the game. But here’s the funny thing, or maybe not funny, just odd? Lately, they’ve been kinda stingy with the 4-star guys. Go figure.
Used to be, with every update you’d get a new 4-star face to mess around with. Like a surprise pop in your cereal box (do they still do that?). But now? It’s like they’ve gone all-in on the 5-stars. They’re dropping those left and right, but the 4-stars? Not so much. There was a time not long ago when they’d toss us a 4-star like it was nothing. Now, it’s like… where’d they go?
Leaks—because who doesn’t love a good leak—are suggesting this trend’s sticking around. So, yeah, might be a while before we see a bunch more 4-star characters. Oh well, right? Or maybe—hear me out—it’s their plan all along.
Remember 2023, when they released, like, a 4-star every month? This year, nada. Well, not quite “nada,” but you get my drift. We’re talking Gallagher, Misha, Moze, and March 7th’s The Hunt version. At least they fit into the story nicely. Stories need fitting people, you know? But still, it’s the principle of the thing.
Something else: this whole Amphoreus arc (sounds fancy) that we’re on. The 5-stars are shining through—shocker, right? Including some collab with Fate/Stay Night, which—sidebar—I really should check out sometime. Do people still watch Anime as much nowadays? Feels like it.
So, rumors say future characters are all gonna be 5-stars too. Maybe they think newbies will just keep trying their luck on these Warp banners for the ‘big guns’, as they work on building their teams. Granted, some 4-stars like Tingyun or Gallagher, those guys can pack a punch, often complementing their 5-star pals, but who’s counting?
Question is—are 4-stars placeholders, or what? Cause they do keep dishing them out during events for free. It’s like the universe’s way of saying, “Chill out, player, have a 4-star, on us.” Helps with leveling up those Eidolon levels, I suppose. But people? They want fresh faces! More variety! It’s human nature, after all.
Look, maybe they’ve hit their 4-star quota. Or maybe, just maybe, they’re up to something bigger with those coveted 5-star reworks. Hard to say. Anyway, game on, right?
