Alright, so here’s the thing: Silent Hill. Ever heard of it? Yeah, probably. So, after Silent Hill 2 Remake hit like, a bazillion expectations out of the park, guess what? Konami’s at it again. This time, teaming up with the Bloober folks to redo the original Silent Hill from way back in ’99. Crazy, right? But no word yet on when it’s dropping. They just slapped an “in development” sticker on it and called it a day. Cool. Thanks for the deets, Konami, I guess?
Now, don’t act all shocked. Bloober and Konami? Working hand in hand after the Silent Hill 2 magic? Totally saw this coming. Means we might even see a comeback for Silent Hill 3 at some point. Not to jump the gun or anything, but c’mon, who wouldn’t want that after the brilliant job Bloober did last time? Yep, it’s a “fingers crossed” situation.
So here we go again, back to that creepy town. Not complaining — horror thrills are sometimes the best, right? Harry Mason’s the dude we’re following this time. He’s this dad, taking his kid Cheryl on a vacay to shake off some tough memories after his wife passed. Yeah, it’s kinda like Silent Hill 2’s setup, but stick with me. It’s different, I swear.
Anyway, they’re cruising, then bam — car crash. Harry’s all confused, wakes up, and uh-oh — Cheryl’s gone. So begins his wild goose chase through Silent Hill, dodging the freaky creatures and bumping into bizarre folks — exactly what you’d expect. Somehow, this sounds so much like Silent Hill 2, but it’s not just about Harry’s messed-up head. Promise, there’s more, but no spoilers! We’re not ruining this for the newbies, okay?
Honestly, the Bloober Team’s got some serious heavy lifting ahead. Not easy trying to remake such an iconic game. But hey, after what they pulled off with Silent Hill 2, my faith in them is sky-high. What about you? You excited or what? 🤔
